On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, as part of "Writers' stage" at the 35th book fair in Ljubljana, we presented and closed the first cycle of our international project Ulysses' Shelter, which is led by the publishing house Sandorf in cooperation with the Slovene Writers' Association and Greek publishing house Thraka. This international residency project focuses on poetry by young, up-and-coming authors and has allowed them to live and create in residencies in Croatia (Mljet), Slovenia (Ljubljana) and Greece (Larissa). At the book fair in Ljubljana, Aljaž Koprivnikar and Denis Škofič from Slovenia, Lara Mitraković from Croatia, and Thanos Gogos from Greece read their poems and shared their experiences from all three residencies. The leaders of the project, Ivan Sršen (Sandorf), Thanos Gogos (Thraka) and Nataša Čebular (Slovene Writers' Association) presented their trilingual anthology of selected poetry written by all the residents (Goran Čolakhodžić, Antej Jelenić, Lara Mitraković, Jasmina Mujkić, Katja Gorečan, Aljaž Koprivnikar, Urška Kramberger, Denis Škofič, Hristos Armando Gezos, Tanos Gogos, Lena Kallergi and Vasileia Ikonomou) titled "Ulysses' Shelter". The project is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. In 2020, the platform Literature Across Frontiers (Wales) and literary association Krokodil (Beograd) will be joining Sandorf, Thraka and Slovene Writers' Association for the second cycle of the project.
